Peace Options
Group Class:
Join us for a group class at the Ananda Center for Yoga and Massage. If you have not done yoga before, don’t be intimidated! Our group classes are great for all levels! Group classes run 75 minutes, unless otherwise noted. We will always end with Savasana and final relaxation. This is the most important part of the class, so please plan to stay until the end.

- Beginner/Intermediate Group Class for All Levels: Sunday, 5:00-6:15pm
- Intermediate Group Class (6 Months Yoga Experience Required): Monday, 7:00-8:30pm Click here for more information on this class!

Personalized Peace:
Poses for Peace would love to develop a personalized yoga program that is just right for you! We can provide yoga lessons in your home or location of your choice. This is a great option if you prefer one-on-one instruction or have a specific health concern, such as scoliosis, pregnancy, fertility or injury. Personalized lessons are available in 1 ½ - 2 hour increments, once or twice a week. Contact us for more information and pricing.

Peace Workshops:
Periodically, Poses for Peace will offer educational workshops about a wide range of topics, such as prenatal health, fertility, meditation, pranayama, weight loss and power yoga. Please let us know if there is a topic you are interested in. Workshops will be posted on our website as they are scheduled. Pricing varies by topic.
Presentations for Groups, Organizations and Businesses:
If you have a group that would like to receive private yoga, pranayama or meditation lessons, or you would like us to speak about a particular topic, please contact us. We will need the date and time of the meeting or event, the length of time you would like the training, the event address, the total number of participants and the name and phone number of a contact person.
What To Bring
Any Class, Lesson or Workshop:
Your completed Yoga Waiver
Yoga Mat - It is important to have a mat for yoga practice so that you can stay safe and free from injury.
* Mats are available at many local retailers and from the retailers listed on the Prop Shop of this website.
A bottle of water - Be sure to be well hydrated before, during and after class.
Cash/Check for the class or your class card.
* You must have a signed Check Waiver on file. There will be a returned check fee, to be determined by the bank ($35.00 minimum).
A pillow or blanket
A sweater if you tend to get cold
Prenatal Group Class:
1. Everything listed under 'Any Class, Lesson or Workshop' above.
2. Your completed Prenatal Yoga Waiver
3. Your completed Prenatal Personal History Form
4. Pillow (Recommended: 'C' or 'S' shaped pillow)
5. Optional, but recommended: Yoga Strap, Yoga Blocks

6. Moms in their 3rd Trimester: Towel

Before You Begin
- Set an intention for your practice before you begin.
- Let Melissa know if you have any health concerns.
- Dress Comfortably.
- Please be on your mat 5 minutes before class starts.
- Drink plenty of water before class (and after) as yoga helps your body detoxify.
- Please turn off your cell phone before class begins.
- Do not eat a big, heavy meal at least 2 hours before the class.
- Please avoid wearing big, chunky jewelry or heavy perfume.
- Start a regular practice of yoga on your own, in addition to your weekly classes or appointments.
  As with anything, the more you can practice yoga, the better YOU will become.
